There are only a few days left until I need to get some gumboots on and start working on our land. We settle on Friday at 11.30 and will be getting the fencing fixed first so that we can take the dogs up there and let them have a run around. They are going to love it!
I’ve got another appointment with the draftsman on Wednesday to finalise the base plan for the house. He will then arrange for the soil test to be done and the surveyor to go out and confirm the position of the house etc etc. As soon as he gets all that information back, he will do the engineering plans etc so that we can start getting quotes. It’s so exciting
Back to the gumboots ….. I am loving these at Wellies Online It’s my birthday soon so I think I’ll have to put them on my list (not that I had one, but I do now LOL).
What an AWESOME day
I can’t stop smiling! Little Charlotte Mae was born at 10.54am this morning and she is just adorable! She was delivered by cesarean as she was in breech (and they got an awesome photo of her being delivered butt first LOL). I was down at the hospital exactly 1 hour after she was born and managed to get a heap of cuddles. I waited for my sister to come out of recovery before heading home again. I am just waiting now for my boys and hubby to get home before we head back down there tonight for more cuddles.

I have put on weight …
BLOODY FOOD – I am obsessed with it, how I eat it, how much I eat of it, when I eat it, what types I eat, how it’s cooked, what’s added, what I can add, do I poach, boil or dry fry blah blah blah. I am so over it all but I have so much trouble letting go of what I believe is right for ME. I have tried pretty much every diet (hate that word) and have been to dietitians, trained my arse off, trained a little bit or not at all and NOTHING happens. I have been in the same weight category for years and it’s driving me insaner than I already am.
It seems that I can lose a few kilos but then it stops so I go back into the “stuff it” attitude and put the 3 kilos back on. Then I feel like shit and lose 3kg again LOL. It’s a never ending circle *sigh*.
SO ……… this is the last ‘lifestyle’ change I am having. If it doesn’t work I don’t know what will. This morning I am having a blood test which is checking my liver function, glucose and lots of other things that I haven’t yet googled the codes for. The results are being sent off to Cohen’s Lifestyle Clinic and I will patiently wait for my personal plan to be sent to me.
Fingers crossed it’s worth the weight
Wow it’s been a month since I last blogged ….. not that I haven’t wanted to, I’ve just been so busy with EVERYTHING else, I really haven’t had a chance to sit and blog about any of it. Let’s see ….
We picked up the plans and are soooooooo excited about those. We changed them around a bit because the roof line was all out of whack and added a few things here and there. I am off to one of the local fireplace showrooms on Thursday to get a price and dimensions of a inbuilt coonara so we know how big the chimney needs to be and can finish the plans. I haven’t been up to the block for about 2 weeks but we still can’t do anything on it anyway as the land doesn’t settle until 4th September. Then we have to get the plans into the council asap for approval because the council won’t let us get a permit for any sheds until the permit for the house is through *sigh*. The fencing is my biggest concern – not so much with the Goldens, but little Griffin can get through the smallest of holes (did I mention anywhere that he is only 2.3kg ……… he’s so cute)
My course has become so involved it is taking over all of my spare time (not that I am complaining), it has just come to the business end of it all and it is hard trying to comprehend it all. The last 2 weekends I have spent at the college doing practicals has been awesome. We had a heap of fun on Sunday learning all the sports techniques. At our next session we have got a “practice” exam which I am absolutely shitting myself about. I am going to need a drink after that one LOL. Have to say though, I get pretty pissed off when people promise to help out with the practice hours I need to do, but when the time comes, they bail out.
It’s been over a month since we sold this house. I haven’t even started to begin trying to pack … I don’t even know where we are going to live just yet. We decided we would rent for 12 months while we build but none of the estate agents know what they are going to have in 2 months time so we need to wait until the end of the month before they will have a better idea. Talk about leaving that until the last minute. Bit bloody scary with 2 kids and 3 dogs in tow.
Work hasn’t really changed much …. I had to cut another shift because of my study. I am a bit over the place to be honest … there are so many negative people there at the moment and I can’t stand to listen to negative people all the time. It just brings the whole work environment down. Of course, it has stopped me even wanting to train there which hasn’t helped my waistline either. I’ve managed to put on a decent winter’s coat this year (which I am not too happy about) but I only have myself to blame. Wish I wasn’t so obsessed by it all though.
We had major dramas at my son’s football – yeah, it never got better, just worse LOL. Kids were fighting, swearing, getting yellow cards etc, and some of the parents were just as bad with the profanities they scream out over the fence. One parent even hit another at one game. I am so glad I was at school that weekend! The parent got banned, they changed coaches, a lot of the kids didn’t like the new coach and acted like spoilt brats and wouldn’t train so he quit (I don’t blame him at all for that – there is no way I’d put up with the little bastards treating me like that either). In the end, after meetings with the parents etc their old coach came back and they lost the 1st final. BAHAHAHA suffer in your jocks! Thank GOD it is over. The first thing my son did was take off his jacket and said he is never playing for them again and wants to go back to his old club. ABOUT TIME! His old club wants him back anyway and has ever since he left AND the parents are much more supportive (& fun) over there
Cricket has started and so has the “I need a new bag, bat, gloves, pads, pants, helmet, runners, inserts, box etc etc etc” ………. yeah yeah, and I need a holiday but we don’t always get what we want do we?. I do love cricket though (so much better than footy).
My sister is due for her 2nd baby soon and she found out 2 weeks ago that “Charlotte” is in breech. There is no way they can turn her so she has to go in for a cesarean. She is booked in for 17th August – I can’t wait – it’s so exciting
. Although, she is hoping that she can get in sooner as Charlotte is apparently quite big and she is very uncomfortable. She is off to the hospital today for a check up so they might change the date today.
There was lots more stuff that happened, but I’m sure you are already getting heavy eyelids so I won’t go on LOL.
The next 2 months are going to be a nightmare but I’m going to take one day at a time so I don’t end up bald again
